Hi, my name is Mark Gabbert, and I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, growing up in the Lakewood area. My interest in finance began in an economics class, where I first became fascinated by how markets work and how capital moves through the economy. That curiosity eventually led me to join the Bloomberg Investment Incubator, where I later served as Vice President and gained early experience analyzing public companies, financial markets, and investment opportunities.

My interest in real estate finance continued to grow through my coursework and became more tangible through my internship with Invitation Homes, a real estate investment trust. Working alongside the asset management team gave me exposure to institutional real estate, portfolio strategy, market research, and how investment decisions are evaluated at scale.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate at the University of Texas at Dallas. Outside of school, I am also working through the A.CRE Accelerator, where I am applying the theory I have learned in the classroom through case-based real estate modeling and continuing to sharpen my technical skills.

Looking ahead, I hope to begin my career in a role where I can evaluate real estate investment opportunities, underwrite deals, and continue developing as a real estate professional. I am especially interested in areas such as acquisitions, capital markets, asset management, and investment analysis.
